ws which of course includes Beverly Hills 90210. Beverly Hills, 90210 is a prime time television drama series that aired from October 4, 1990 to May 17, 2000 on FOX in the United States, and subsequently on various networks around the world. It is the first series in the Beverly Hills, 90210 franchise - according to Mareng Wikipedia.I don't know when was the time that I started watching it but I do remember that I'm in love with Brandon-Kelly love team. LOL. I had this huge crush on Brandon (Jason Priestly
) and I adore gorgeous Kelly that's why when we had a dog, I named her "Kelly" (for more information about Kelly, my former dog, you can view my other blog posts to see Kelly's heroism). I was just disappointed when Kelly and Brandon separated and that was the time when I started disliking the show. boohoo!
I also found out that Melrose Place is a spin-off from the Beverly Hills 90210 series. My gosh! I've just found this out recently! I've been seeing this on TV but I thought that this show was kinda boring. Now, I need a lot of catching up to do. First, watch again Beverly Hills 90210 to refresh my memory (i was still a kid when I watched it) then next in line is the Melrose Place, then watch the third one, Models Inc,which spun-off from Melrose Place, and then get hooked with 90210 and lastly, wait for the upcoming Melrose Place spin-off.
Models Inc., a series about the personal and professional struggles of several young models, spun-off from Melrose Place. The series was introduced via the characters Hillary Michaels, the mother of Melrose Place's Amanda Woodward, and model Sarah Owens—both of whom had appeared in a multi-episode run on MP. Jake Hanson, originally introduced in Beverly Hills, 90210, was the only character to appear in both the first show and the third.
A third spin-off premiered in 2008, focusing on a family from Kansas who move to Beverly Hills when their grandmother suffers from alcohol addiction. It premiered on the CW Network on September 2, 2008.
In guest appearances, Jennie Garth, Shannen Doherty and Tori Spelling reprised their roles as Kelly Taylor, Brenda Walsh and Donna Martin, respectively. Joe E. Tata also reprised his role as Nat, owner of the Peach Pit, diner turned Coffee house, for a couple of episodes at the beginning of show's first season.
In October 2008, it was officially announced that The CW Television Network was contemplating a Melrose Place follow-up. Lisa Rinna has claimed to be interested, while Jennie Garth has stated that she does not intend to appear. Kelly Rutherford states there is a possibility of a guest appearance as her character Megan.
The CW entertainment boss Dawn Ostroff has told reporters that unlike the original series, the Melrose remake will try to capture life in the Melrose neighborhood. In regards to casting, Ostroff says the network hasn't spoken to anyone yet. "Heather [Locklear] would be one of the people you talk about because when you think of Melrose," she says, "one of the first people think of is Heather."
On January 19, 2009 Entertainment Weekly reported that The CW had been talking with Smallville show-runners Darren Swimmer and Todd Slavkin about shepherding the update.
On February 6, 2009 Entertainment confirmed Todd Slavkin and Darren Swimmer were now officially installed as showrunners of the spin-off. They also revealed the names and descriptions of the characters who'd be featured on the series, including the son of Grant Show's character Jake Hanson, David Patterson.
